For someone to get something from anything (confusing?)...he must consider the variables...the valid options...with an open mind.

You must consider the validity of what was said...not the perceived motive of the source.  Look objectively at the information given...what was said...and not said.  Categorize...prioritize...digest...discuss.

An open forum brings about issues to think about to bring about positive changes in the participant's life.

Strive for simplification to understand the root of the message.

Always remember Objectivity is called for anything that can be deemed as right or wrong.

Subjectivity is about opinion...where there is no right or wrong...although even something subjective can be wrong if it was derived from a false premise.

I have always been an observer of the human condition...it is fascinating to me.  I love to discuss and debate important issues (the human condition is important to all) to learn, as much as, to teach.

Who is this NT who proclaims, so arrogantly, that he has anything of value to talk of to we Aspies (as some may be thinking)?

Again...it is the validity of the message that is so important...not the motive of the message giver.  The motive need only be looked at if the message cannot be verified...by evidence or reason.

No matter what I may say my motives may be...they cannot be verified...and so...I say they are not important.

This poll is for me to understand what the users of this forum really wish to get from their experience here.

I, for one, am interested to hear what anyone has to say if they think it might be helpful.  People with different viewpoints and different ways of thinking are a big part of what the world is about; you can only learn so much from people who share your viewpoint and way of thinking. I'm new to the Asperger's community, and I know there are a lot of things I don't understand yet. But I'm all for a little generously given, good-intentioned help!

I'm here merely to get involved in discussions that catch my eye.
