I really like dogs myself. I find them very comforting and easy be around at times. They are loyal, not judgmental and full of love. And they also teach me be reasponible for others. What i want know is, what other's expeirences and feelings are, if you have pets, and how they make you feel?

I've always had animals. We have three cats, a dog and several fish. I used to keep more exotic animals - I love spiders, but my partner is not a fan. We lost a cat recently - the vet seemed to think he had been poisoned with anti-freeze. Apparently cats love the smell and it tastes sweet. I don't keep any around, so I guess he got into a neighbours shed or garage.

All odour pets are from a rescue centre (aside from the fish obviously), so they all have their probls and cost a not so small fortune in vets bills, but we love them.

Always loved animals especially cats I love my cats but I also like certain family friendly breeds of dogs like border colies, king charles spaniels, labradors and the like.  I am not fussed on dogs like dobermans rottwhilers and pitbull terriors.

We have a cavalier:

He's called Banjo. They are generally very friendly dogs - not too bright though, it has to be said.

I love cats.  I don't like dogs, but to each his or her own.  I used to have a slight obsession with cats when I was younger.

No your right about that zen we our next door neighbours had a king charles spaniel beautiful ruby red colour and beautiful natured dog but the thing literally was dumb enough to chase parked cars LOL.  I have met lots of king charles spaniels since then and love them all but they while not a smart breed of dog but none were as stupid as this particular dog I met as a kid Cheesy

Aww thats a charming little story MM. DphMathsmusic i agree also about each to their own, i sadly dont get along with cats, its not like i hate them or anything, i just can't relate them.
Funny story about cats though, I pulled a women a few years ago when clubbing one night. She had a pet cat back at her flat, and talk about pets being like their owners! She was flirting with me and being a tease, and the her cat was no different, it came up wanting strokes when i was on her sofa, and when i went pet it, it walked away lol. Anyway, next morning i had scratches down my back, and it wasn't her pet that gave me them lol.

An aspie not relating to a cat Huh?.  Pyschologists refer to cats as an autistic dog LOL.  I could always relate to cats because they are very much loners like I was a child(You can see a pic of me holding my pussy cat in the picture section it was taken of me as a small boy about 8 or 9).  But I guess everyone relates to different things differently nothing wrong with this Smiley

Thanks for the feed back guys in my humble little post. I wanted report back about some experices of mines finding work. I had report the job centre not long ago in the uk, to get routes back to full time work. I thought it a good idea since the job centre took into consideration my problems that i wrote before my interview a list of jobs that were in my imagined comfort zone. I have a interview this tuesday for a music studio, as sound engerneering was one goal of mines, but i had also mensioned "working with animals". Sadly where i live, there is alot of long waiting lists for people who want to volenteer and work with animals, but i still think if you like anaimals as apsergers girl has mension, and your struggling with finding work, that prehaps atleast trying to volenteer at a local cat and dog home, even if it's just cleaning, or feeding, might be very benificial to you. I'm not interested in animals, but here's some news which might surprise you - George Clooney used to have a pet pig, which he took for a flight in John Travolta's private plane. I always notice rare things.
