I'm obsessed with Florence + The Machine at the moment Might sound silly but when I listen to her songs I feel like I can connect with them, if that makes sense. The song I'm constantly listening to by her though is 'What the Water Gave Me' You guys should really check it out if you havent already, its amazing All her songs are really incredible

One of the last songs Johnny Cash recorded before he died:
It's a cover version, but covers by Johnny Cash are almost always better than the original song. Cash was 71 years old and dying when this was recorded; this is considered by many to be his epitaph.

I find that I often fall into loving songs from the 90s again. It takes me back!

Some 90s music was good but I always prefered to 80s music. It takes me back to my early child hood around 1987 when I was 5 to 1994 when I was having a general good time in life.

I'm very broad in music. I love classical, rock, hip-hop, bluegrass, country, celtic, and pretty much everything else. Anything but the little teen stars. They bug me. I'm a classical singer. Right now I'm working on "Nella Fantasie". Before that it was "Ave Maria".

It's not a song, but a classical piece: Transfigured Night, by Arnold Schoenberg.
Opeth - Burden (simple song, but so sad) Bjork - Harm of Will
I seem to like ELO and Jeff Lynne lately. Also, Bulgarian Mystery Voices Choir

There’s got to be at least one song that means the world to you right now? it can even be more than one. i'm talking about a song that you can relate to, that brings out the deepest emotions. I don't just mean a fav. Song, like in: yeah, this song rocks. but a song that you play when you're alone, that moves you to tears, or makes you wanna get up and headbang. that kind of favorite song. I have a couple of songs that i play most (for the moment). And here they are.
Boys Like Girls - Thunder
Tokio Hotel - Spring Nicht
Eyes Set to Kill - Beauty Through Broken Glass
for the people in this group that know me, listen to theses songs and you'll know exactly what i mean. right now these songs mean the world to me.

2 songs which I like are What Makes You Beautiful by one Direction and BarbieGirl by Aqua. On one of the music channels, they were considered to be "guilty pleasures". But who cares - both of these songs got to number one here in Britain.

as with the OP, i got into Florence and the Machine too recently. it was probably about two years after everyone else was getting wet over them, call it a delayed reaction. I still very much like Elbow. can't say anything current has tickled my fancy
