I think aspergers pride, and aspergers acceptance and confidence are two different things.

I'm not proud to have aspergers, I have no reason to be. I'm just like everyone else, a person.
I am, however, confident with having it, and very open about it.

That's cool. They don't understand because a lot of people without aspergers don't get as into things like this, so they think you're going ott.

Another reason they don't understand is probably because they don't like spiders, and don't see how anyone can

i'm not proud to have Aspergers but some people who have it are geniuses. I think more people should  be made aware of Aspergers.

I dont have aspergers I have HFA but its a very similar thing.  I think autism is a pain in the arse to live with from the point of view that it gets in the way of making friends and maintaining them.  Other than that it could be considered a blessing to be able to think outside the box
