I have a couple of weeks off, so spending far too much to keep myself entertained. Spare time never does my finances any favours, it is always an expensive proposition.

I bought a Kindle (which is really excellent by the way - highly recommed getting one is you love reading) a few months ago, and this week I loaded enough books on it to keep me busy for the next two years.

I bought Assassins creed 1 & 2 for the PS3 which I have nearly finished and I pre-ordered the third one. I also bought StarCraft 2 which I can't wait to play

I bought a couple of lovely solid state hard drives for my laptops, four 2tb hard drives and some gorgeous blue lighting for my media server and a new router.

I am also resisting going up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this weekend which would cost a small fortune, but is always amazing

I bought the Netgear ReadyNAS PRO with 6x 2tb drives on friday, it is a fantastic bit of kit and has replaced two rather noisy towers
