I never thought about animals having Kleinfelter syndrome before. What is that like? I've only met one person with that condition.
Also, who decided to fork out the money for a chromosome test on a rescue cat?
In cats tri colours are carried by females only - so a tri-coloured male always has Kleinfelter Syndrome. He is a very small cay and was quite difficult to sex until he was six months old. He was never fertile (they are very rare cats and almost never are fertile), and when the vet castrated him, he was extremely under-developed. He doesn't like other male cats very much either but he is very affectionate. I would say looking at him he has a lot of Siamese in him. He had some behaviour problems when he was younger. He had a constant need to scent everything and he over cleaned until his chest lost all its fur. He has gotten much better as he has gotten older, but he does revert to that behaviour if he is stressed.
