Anyone else have trouble quitting this ridiculous addictive game?

Any tips you can share with others (namely ME!) on how to cut down on play and maybe reclaim some of my lost social hours?

I love MMO's, but I could never get into WoW. It looked a little bit Disney and having played DAoC since beta, WoW's player vs player content is still quite poor.

Here is some advice: unistall the game, delete all your characters, and just dont reinstall it, i guess it was easier for me since i found the game extremely boring, cata just killed it imo, i did enjoy wrath, while i was learning the game, but cata, gah, it just really stressed me out, and i was really addicted to it, so i just felt i needed to leave, it really took a lot of time from my real life problems and since i "quit" ive been doing much better individually and psychologically, to some degree, but thats all i can say, realy, just find something else you can do to curb your "addiction".

I'm quite happy that there aren't any decent MMO's out there at the moment as I tend to throw far too much time away on them - but a really good one only comes along so rarely - EQ and DAoC still play better than WoW imo, or would if they still had large enough communities.

I was amazed to discover recently that Horizons: Empires of Istaria has survived all this time - I reactivated my account the other day and flew around on my Dragon for a while - it looks very dated now (it must be approaching its 10th anniversary) - but it was a nice little game and still plays quite well and has a very die-hard community who are still keeping it going.

Cancel your subscription. WoW stimulates the reward systems in the brain the very same way as unhealthy food does, but unlike drugs and alcohol, it's not physically addictive.
