Probably not. I don't know what it is about the DS, but I just don't get on with it. I bought one not long after they came out and I hardly used it. I think I played three or four games on it and it has been in a drawer somewhere for a long time. Oddly it also made my wrist hurt for some reason, not a problem I have ever had with a handheld console before. The 3d tech is interesting though, shame it wouldn't work for a larger scale screen.

I'm with Zenemu on this. I have a DS Lite, and I really don't like it. The face buttons are too small and close together, so I wind up pressing accelerate and brake at the same time on racing games, which is not what you want... and I hate stylus based games.
I love the idea of the 3D screen though, and am fascinated by how it works. I have a Virtual Boy, which is Nintendos last attempt at 3D, and it's great if you don't mind your head exploding after 20 mins of play.

Of course I say I won't get one, but that depends on what Zelda and Final Fantasy offerings are brought out for it - only reasons I got a DS in the first place

It was Mario Kart that prompted me to get one. And it's nice to be able to play all my GBA retro arcade compilations with a decent screen.

Oh yeah Zelda and Final Fantasy, what adults you guys are. Much more mature to be playing Japanese anime garbage on a kid's toy console than devising strategies to further the race and bring more life into the world.

They're re-releasing ocarina of time on the 3DS - hopefully wth new features so that will make it worth buying in general. Hopefully they will make a new Zelda similar to the other DS ones too, but longer..

I think all their efforts are going into Skyward Sword, which looks like it will be out by the end of next year as a Wii release. Apparently there was a report on Game Radar that Sony were negotiating for a port of it, but I can't find the article now, so maybe it was just a rumour and they removed it.

Incidentally if you enjoyed Orcarina, then you should give Darksiders a look. It is Pretty much God of War meets The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is quite good, if a tad short.

I'd hold off on PS3 for a while. With the incredibly bad press this year I daresay Sony are scrapping the "10 year plan" and looking at launching a new console as quickly as they can, which also means that Microsoft will be rushing ahead with the next x-box (the 720 according to the rumour mill). Personally I would go with x-box over ps3 at the moment, unless you are looking for a cheap blu-ray player.
It will be interesting to see which direction they both go with next next gen consoles.
