I find it a bit strange that loads of uneducated, illiterate low iq, rapid breeding muslims burn bibles every other day and kill a few christians just to put the boot in. When a rather strange guy in Florida threatens to burn a few Korans, these people go beserk and think that he stands for all the west and we all have to pay for something that I am not sure of. Then all the Christians kow tow to these millions of fast breeding crazy human look a likes. I am missing something here....

I have no sympathy for extremists on any spectrum, christian, muslim, jewish, etc.  All the extremists want is attention.  And this pseudo pastor of a teeny tiny fundamentalist christian church, is an attention whore.  Like Fred Phelps and his "God hates ***s" church that goes to soldiers funerals saying, "God is happy that your son died because God hates ***s."

There is no rhyme or reason to extremists of any ilk.

Alas, in this day and age...I'm afraid we have.  I call a lot of the extremists, the "new pharisees."  When it comes to social or political or economic gain.........."the new pharisees" will do anything to get ahead.  Look at the tele-evangelists or the mullahs that rule Iran.  Different faiths, but the same philosophies.   Undecided

I was thinking how hypercritical the muslim world was and so I googled around to find out why they might not understand simple logic. Where the radicals come from - they have no education, they are over crowded and they have no hope. The average IQs are sub 85. Turkey has an average IQ of 90 and doesn't seem to have the same problems yet.
They are breeding at an alarming rate and I think that they are becoming a threat to the western world and Russia.
I worked for a Muslim company once and it was quite an experience. They were totally against the white man. I made friends with one tho cos we had to share a car and he introduced me to his world in England. He was a nice guy so he was picked on by the others and they wrecked our car.

Allthough, they have every right to burn a book if they want to, I find the whole concept of doing so just to piss other people off extremely disrespectful. A lot of the more controversial stuff from the qur'an (eg. the stuff about polygamy) is also written in the bible.

Average IQ is determined by a country's socio-economic factors, as well as how good the schools are. Singapore is full of religious fundamentalists, yet it has the world's 3. highest average IQ and only lags behind Hong Kong and South Korea in terms of average IQ.

So you are saying that in Haiti which has an average IQ of 70 that if they had better schooling, diet and higher GDP that their IQ would be around 100?
Have you heard of haplogroup D and the impact that had on humanity? About one million Haitians have swarmed across the border here recently and I can't see that with most of them.
Also I don't understand why a lot of people only live for today.

He who stands above the crowd receives a stone in the face.  The pastor stood above the crowd and now everyone is pissed off at him.  And, if this becomes a hate preaching site, I will leave.  People are who they are, and we have no right to change them; they can only change themselves.

I must admit that I find it incredibly strange that people are still so easily led by propaganda and media hype. It seems these days that between the media and various politicians, we should believe that every Muslim is a potential suicide bomber and they spend their evenings burning Bibles.

I am agnostic, but I have studied religion in-depth and I have found that the differences between most of them are extremely superficial. Islam and Christianity are literally two sides of the same coin. The major difference is that because the tenants of Christianity was not applied as a set of laws, it has slowly (very slowly) managed to change and is perhaps much closer to the modern expectations of western society. Islam on the other hand has been successfully applied as a set of laws for over 800 years, making it the oldest and longest lasting legal system civilization has ever known.

The Q/Koran is actually quite a beautifully written text in comparison to the Bible, and is actually a more logical take on pretty much identical events. It simply isn’t influenced by roman dogma. More importantly the Q/Koran teaches peace, brotherhood and equality in marriage. Some Muslims choose to ignore their own doctrine and push such antiquated values as arranged marriage, but this tends to be a regional thing and happens in every religion to some degree.

Back on topic, what we have here is a man who claims to be a man of god, who comes from a country whose founding principle is that all men were created equal under one god, and who has never so much as read the Q/Koran. He is going out of his way to insult countless people based on ignorance and racism.

As I understand it, the move to build a Mosque at ground zero, is an attempt by American Muslims to show respect and to honour the innocent people who died there. In a way it is a monument to the simple principle that we should always embrace – “Never Again”. Perhaps this is ill advised in such a media driven country, but any sentiment is immediately lost to politics, media expectations and public bias. It is pitiful that in the past thirty years or so, the western world has lost its ability to reason for itself and simply bends to the current whims of the media. It is something that is already costing us our freedoms and liberties which we should be able to take for granted, and in the long term it will undoubtedly be our undoing as a civilization.

Yeah I don't like extremists either don't stoop to their level. (Just keep it clean please?)

I am not a Christian myself, people are entitled to their own beliefs but gay haters should not bring their bigotry into faith. It just makes it seem like a joke. It contradicts "Christianity" completely.

My point is that we are led to believe that every man is equal. If you dare point out that certain countries are disadvantaged intellectually you are considered evil for some reason.
I live near to Haiti. I see quite clearly that these people are disadvantaged.  They are ripped off by most people. They are not given human status here - when it is evening they are rounded up near the border by the army and put into trucks and driven home.
By assuming that everyone can reason the same is a capitalistic ploy to make it ok for the first world countries to feel content while these countries are plundered and the people starve.
Also, when first world people give their money to the charities, don't you feel great that it is helping out your fellow man. Well, that money doesn't get to the poor. It gets to the gangs operating in the country and also to the whites who are feathering their own nests.
These people cannot reason the way that we would hope. They have to steal to survive. They live in ditches around here under tarps.
It is obvious that the charity system is not working at all. I feel that the situation should be approached rather differently.
I am not a hater by the way, I have AS; my only emotion is anxiety. I am appalled at this situation.
