Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!

Wouldnt you say this is not that different from how humans work? If you look or act different, usually the common folk would just shun you or make fun of you, but when a moment comes and they need your help theyre all goody goody and instantly become friends? Why must one have a use to be worthy of inclusion?

Another thing is, just like here, Rudolph is not actually inferior, I see him as potentially superior to the others since he has an extra use. Though its true that just because one is different makes one better, but just the same, being different doesnt also necessarily mean you are inferior to the majority.

If I were Rudolph, I'd say: "Forget it; you're all f*cked now!" Smiley

Having said that, reindeer meat is delicious.

Funny, we were singing that in chorus the other day, and I got the same impression of human predjudice (for lack of a better word.) Strange. And no, you do not have to go to the N. Pole to eat reindeer. I've have eaten some myself. Along with yak, moose, buffalo, etc. And actually, there is a town in Alaska called the North Pol. Look it up! Smiley

It's part of the Norwegian (and more precisely the sami) cuisine. Wink

Yeah, I did live in Alaska for several years. No, it's not all snow. We had summers. Usually in the 70's or 80's. In winter, on the shortest day of the year, the sun peeks up for about an hour or 2, then goes back down. But in summer, the sun barely goes down, then comes back up.
