I left England in 1996. I just went back for 2 weeks and it was cold and miserable and incredibly expensive. It felt weird and I was out of place.
I saw an aspie guy I met on the internet in Birmingham and we had a couple of cups of tea and parted our ways. It was nice putting a face to his internet persona. He seemed so normal.
I met a couple of old buddies who don't seem to have changed and one said they might come down here for a visit.
I was welcomed back by the people here. They are really nice.
I sat next to a woman on the plane who was here to see her b/f. She is a social worker. I told her I was aspie and she asked the stewardess for another seat.

getting use to drinking tea again Cheesy.  Feel for you for what happened on the plane its probably that she deals with problems like that all the time and wanted to have a break from it as opposed to feeling like you were some kind of freak.  In other words she may have been a bit worried you gonna talk her ear off about your problems and because she deals with it all the time she just want a break from it. why get anxious in life about not having friends or anything for that matter what help impossible for people to provide or that they wont provide is possible for god and he will provide.  Book of matthew last versus "low I am with you always even to the end of the world amen"
