Just thought I would seek out more information on Aspergers. I have not been diagnosed at all with Aspergers (just had an unknown behavioural and learning related problems as a child). I am interested in Aspergers as it seems to describe and explain me more than anything else.

The question on my mind at the moment is: How do people with Aspergers typically feel about music, dancing and touching?

I love music but used to always hate dancing at a club. Recently I have started a formal style of dancing that is partnered. I find that partnered dancing allows me to enjoy music, non-sexual touching and does not require me to talk at all. I do not even have to ask anyone for dances (they ask me). I have also noticed that dancing to me is all about patterns and rules. I enjoy it mainly because of the music, sensation of touch, and helps to cure the feeling of loneliness. I have also been known to go for 3 hour runs, alone just to enjoy my music.

For some reason I have the stereotype in my head that someone with Aspergers would not like dancing, is this correct? Thoughts? Comments? Does this sound like someone with Aspergers or am I looking for something that I might not have?

I love music and dancing, Touching is ok depending on who is doing it and how it's done.

Not liking dancing more has to do with someones personality than aspergers I think.

i`m not a good Dancer (so i don`t like doing it in front of people, cuz they notice it and tell me that i`m like a tree or robot dancing), i don`t like places where there is too many people (i get confused and feel weird)............ But i would love to dance if theres nobody just me and my lovely one (my partner) i also think it is pretty personal to dance (so i would only do it with my partner).............JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION (and im trying to change my opinion about a lot of things so i can fit in society)............
