Do you like birthdays? How do you celebrate them?

I like other people's birthdays... especially my wife and childrens'... but I don't particularly like celebrating my own... but my wife insists.

Birthdays... I always felt not quite mature enough for the age I was turning!  I stopped celebrating them after the age of 12-13, I think, except for my 21st.

And when my friends threw me surprise birthdays, heh.

I don't mind them. They're nice, especially when you've got your closest and best friends.

The small of the candles after they've been blown out always reminds me of tucking into a delicious cake. Having a birthday without a lit cake is a waste Sad

It also needs pebbles on it Wink

I don't like the suggestion that I'm somehow less of a person just because I don't want to do what everyone else does.

What are pebbles?

pebbles are little round flat pieces of chocolate with a candy shell. Similar to M&Ms.

I don't get celebrations like I should or how most people around me get them...but my best recent birthday was getting a slew of MySpace grettings from some of my roller derby girl friends, as well as one from a "curl girl" (female curling player.)

I think Robert Burns's birthday is the best one to celebrate. I'm not Scottish but I do enjoy their finest liquid...

I hate it when it's my birthday. Birthdays have got to be the most depressing days of the year for me....

I celebrate birthdays by getting drunk with all of my farmer buddies.
