I feel more free since my marriage then I ever felt when I was alone. I found marriage to be very liberating and great fun.

Though i'm not gonna stay still to long with this Asp Syndrome..
I have a girlfriend for over 4.5 years,she's from vietnam and a prof classical violonist.
She totally went crazy wen she heard me drum(learned it myself)especcialy the high level.
I'm a rocker and listen to a lot of fusion music..
We had alot of issues about my behaviour..
First i heard it i ehh asperges??
That's a vegetable in dutch
But that's me,i only wanna know more about Asperger..

There not many Aspies with a relation.
My shrink said i'm very lucky.
I still have problemo,all info i try to find only shows typical "nerds"like Gates.
Not to be offensive,but it's true:(
Most of the dutch aspies look like mental handicap people..
For me i look like a non-emotional ser-killer,not my words.
But i can laugh about it and keeps me out of trouble.
I use humor to hide it:)

Nothing wrong or shameful about being mentally handicapped. For that matter there is nothing wrong or shameful about looking like a nerd.

I remember the picture project site, it was awesome.
Nothing to be ashamed of no matter what you look like imo.. I wouldn't judge people on that.

I had a g/f once. Met her when I was 19 and she was 21 and stayed together about 5 years before she went back to live in England. We had our ups and downs but mostly downs. I was 100% loyal but she cheated on me I think because I wasn't there enough for her. I was diagnosed back then but didn't take any interest in AS. Didn't realise everything I did was AS related. If I meet another girl, I'll keep my obsession at work and leave it at work.

Sounds like the English girl was a right so-and-so. She cheated on YOU... don't you go and make excuses for her by blaming yourself. Don't do it, ANZ.

Oh, yeah, that happened to me too. My ex Madison cheated on me 3 times: once 'cause this other guy kissed her and she didn't want him. The next time, she claimed it was an accident (yeah right!), and the last time, well I got tired of her crap, so we broke up. After that, I implemented a 3 strikes policy. Then a couple of months later, she wants back in. I'm thinkin' "Uh-uh! You had your chance!  " but I let her down gently (I'm no heartbreaker. I'm too sweet to crab at her.  )
